Pharaoh PiYA (most commonly known in history books as Piye or Piankhi) was the powerhouse Kushite king who founded the 25th Dynasty of Egypt.
He didn’t just want to conquer Egypt, but to “save” it, in addition he was a deeply religious and morally driven ruler who believed the Egyptian gods—specifically Amun—had chosen him to restore order to a land that had fallen into chaos and corruption.
